There is a practical consideration for businesses that wish to cover property that has fluctuating value, such as goods and inventory. Property coverage is effective when policy limits reflect its value. It can be messy when the alignment between the two amounts is poor.

​Beware CGL Classification Endorsements!
A hardware store negligently performed an oil change on a lawn tractor. When the mower was used by the customer, the oil leaked out, damaging the engine. The store's CGL insurer has denied the claim, citing a "classification" endorsement that applied to "hardware stores." Is this a justifiable denial?
Those Who Cause Losses Must Be Accountable
 Insurance works best when a party that suffers a covered loss is fairly compensated for a loss that is eligible under a given insurance policy. Typically, such situations involve prompt notification to an insurer; quick, efficient investigation by claims personnel; and then, payment. We know that, commonly, a paid claim may not be the end. Ideally, the party that is responsible for injury or damage to others should, financially, be held accountable. If another party is identified, insurers may use its policyholder’s right to subrogate. Subrogation refers to an insurer standing in the place of the policyholder and seeking repayment from the party that caused the loss and its financial harm.

Specifically, it found the information on the previous owner of the covered property justified its seeking restitution. The courts had their perspectives on whether the insurer was obligated to respond.

No action takes place unless it is preceded by thought. If you’re unhappy with the circumstances in which you find yourself, you can improve your situation through the power of thought, just as surely as you can destroy a positive life with negative thinking. Success begins with an honest analysis of your present condition, acceptance of responsibility for your own life, and the development of a workable plan to achieve what you desire.
​Actions, not words, are the greatest means of self-praise.
There are times when you will be asked to put yourself forward, to compete for a position or a contract, and you will have to speak about your accomplishments. Naturally, you will want to put the best foot forward. Be certain, however, that when you do so, you are confident that honest inquiry will support what you say about yourself. If your actions have been wise and responsible, the record will show this. Leaders in any organization are those who say, “Let’s get going. Let’s do something rather than wait around to see what happens.” When your past actions demonstrate that you are a person who accepts responsibility and shows others the way, your career and relationships will benefit you accordingly.
Individuals with positive mental attitudes are never found in a rut.
Individuals with a positive attitude are those who somehow always manage to find something new and interesting even in the most mundane tasks. They don’t allow themselves to be bored, because they are always seeking ways to do things faster, better, and more efficiently. If you make it a practice to find better ways to do the same old things, you will soon be marked for advancement. You will be supervising others who are performing your old job because you’ve proven that you are a person who can be counted on to take the initiative and do what needs to be done without being told.
