"Invest in yourself as much you can. You are your own biggest asset by far. Anything you do to improve your talents and make yourself more valuable will get paid off in terms of appropriate real purchasing power. Anything you invest in yourself, you get back tenfold, and nobody can tax it away or steal it from you." – Warren Buffett

How time is used during the average person’s lifetime and how much time is left to do the things you enjoy most. The amount of time spent commuting to work is something that many people dread but haven’t figured out how to shorten. Time spent sleeping is critical in my opinion because it allows you to function at your fullest and enjoy the time spent awake more. Enjoy your JellyBeans and make sure you have a variety to make your life more interesting and fun.
A huge mudslide in Alta, Norway carried multiple homes into the sea. Initial reports are that nobody was killed or injured. A dog was swept out to sea but swam back to shore. Living in mountainous areas is always dangerous due to the possibility of slides occurring but I hate to see anyone lose their home because of a mudslide.
A father shares a valuable lesson about life with his daughter using Potatoes, Eggs, and Coffee. The daughter has realized life is hard and she will be faced with many challenges that will be difficult to overcome. Her father helps her to recognize reality by cooking some potatoes, eggs, and coffee in boiling water and seeing how each reacts.
THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED

Failure seems to be nature’s plan for preparing us for great responsibilities.
If everything we attempted in life were achieved with a minimum of effort and came out exactly as planned, how little we would learn — and how boring life would be! And how arrogant we would become if we succeeded at everything we attempted. Failure allows us to develop the essential quality of humility. It is not easy — when you are the person experiencing failure — to accept it philosophically, serene in the knowledge that this is one of life’s great learning experiences. But it is. Nature’s ways are not always easily understood, but they are repetitive and therefore predictable. You can be absolutely certain that when you feel you are being most unfairly tested, you are being prepared for great achievement.
If you want a job done promptly and well, get a busy person to do it. The idle one knows too many substitutes and shortcuts.
Most of us will never know our true capacity for achievement because we never challenge ourselves to perform at our best every day. This truism becomes apparent when you are presented with an opportunity that really interests you. No matter how busy you may be, somehow you will find the time to pursue it. Conversely, duties that have little appeal for you are easily postponed and eventually forgotten. Busy people are not procrastinators. They know that life, as John David Wright once observed about business, “is like riding a bicycle. Either you keep moving, or you fall down.” The most effective people have a sense of urgency. They set deadlines and force themselves to establish priorities. Even if your activities don’t usually require strict deadlines, set them for yourself. You will be amazed at how much you can accomplish in a short time — if that’s all the time you have.
Your mental attitude is the most dependable key to your personality.
Your view of yourself will greatly influence how others perceive you. If you are a confident, cheerful, positive person, your co-workers, friends, and family will be attracted to your personality. If you are unhappy, negative, and always complaining about your situation, others will be repelled. Even when at times you don’t feel very happy, by forcing yourself to behave in a positive fashion, you will find that you soon feel genuinely upbeat, because your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between an artificial emotion and the real thing. When you behave positively, you will positively influence everyone around you — including yourself.
